How You Can Help
Ways You Can Help
Project Linus would not be successful without the help of the community. We are always in need of the kindness of others to provide children in crisis the security a blanket could give to them.
This page lists several ways you too can help out:
Donate Gift Cards to fabric and sewing stores to your local chapter of Project Linus
(See contact information for donations to Red Deer Chapter)
We are always in need of Fabric!
Become a Blanketeer
Our volunteer blanket makers provide new, handmade washable blankets to be given as gifts to children in crisis. It’s the policy of Project Linus to accept blankets of all sizes, for we service children from newborn to 18. All blanket styles are welcome, including quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans, and receiving blankets in child-friendly colors.
Blankets must be homemade, washable, free of pins and come from a smoke free environment due to allergy reasons. If you are in need of ideas for the blankets, patterns can be found at our Canadian or USA National Headquarters. (Please see links)
Volunteer your Time
Red Deer Chapter of Project Linus will be looking for volunteers to assist in fundraisers and events to promote awareness. If you have time to give to volunteer please see the contact page, fill out the contact information and in the comments box state your wish to volunteer your time.

Please see the Canadian National Headquarters for information.
Make a Tax Deductible Donation
Project Linus depends not only on the thousands of blankets donated to us each month, but also on the generous monetary contributions from people like you.
Donations can be made to the local chapter here in Red Deer (see contact information) or to our National office directly at:
